How was the Blizzard caused?

The Blizzard was caused by a freezing cold front from the Arctic and the warmer air from The
Gulf Of Mexico. Within hours the temperature fell from a few degrees above freezing to -20. At the peak of the storm
the temperature was around -40. This cold came along with heavy snow and and high winds.
